Strip Club Clientele Myths

Continuing the theme on Strip Club Industry Myths, let’s look at the people who visit these clubs.

Strip Club Customer Myths.. That are BS

The only people who frequent gentleman’s clubs are perverts, criminals, drug dealers, etc.

Again, any establishment serving alcohol will initially attract such persons. The difference again is that the scrutiny applied by local law enforcement will typically keep this to a minimum. Also, it is management’s best interest to keep the club drug and crime-free. Anything that jeopardizes the club’s ability to serve alcohol, or frightens off potential dancers will be dealt with. These clubs make money selling alcohol, and the girls attract customers. Preserving both the liquor license and the dancer roster are the management’s top priorities.

In the past, gentleman’s clubs used to be just that, clubs for gentlemen only. In today’s open social environment, you will find people from all walks of life enjoying the vibrant nightlife that can only be found at these types of clubs. Businessmen, teachers, doctors, and lawyers, of BOTH sexes, come to gentleman’s clubs for entertainment, fine food, and relaxing libations. In other words, normal people. Normal people pay the bills. When a club first opens up, it may take some time for word to spread that they don’t tolerate tough customers. It may take a few visits from the local police to solidify the club’s policy. But rest assured, if the manager and security staff are doing their jobs well, the club can be cleaned up in short order.

Only the affluent can afford to visit gentleman’s clubs

Most clubs, especially in today’s economy, have reasonably priced choices that can fit any budget. You’d be surprised at the deals you can find on excellent food and drink at most upscale clubs.

People who go to gentleman’s clubs are cheating on their partner

As we’re going to discuss later on, it is much easier to pick up a girl at a regular nightclub than at a gentleman’s club.

Gentleman’s Clubs are swarming with undercover agents

You’ve heard the rumors about undercover authorities from various agencies staking out strip clubs full time looking to make a bust. Not likely. If the club has been around for any length of time, the owners enjoy significant income running the business. Every owner we’ve met protects their ability to keep in the good graces of ALL authorities. Anyone in their establishment jeopardizing their permit to operate and sell alcohol will be fired, removed, or asked to leave.

The Truth

The majority of people who visit strip clubs are just regular people looking to have a good time. People just like you. Yes, strip clubs provide a form of entertainment with a sexual edge that can’t be found in just a regular bar or venue, but that’s no indictment on them as people.

Stripper Myths that are Complete BS

Exotic dancers are dumb

As with any cross-section of a population, you will find some people that aren’t in the top 10% of their class. Yes, in this industry you will find some empty heads. You will also find some pretty bright individuals as well. We’ve worked with several college graduates, as well as graduate students working towards their doctorate. These women know that a lot of guys think they are stupid and exploit this myth. The very best will lead you right along, feigning ignorance, giggling all the way to the bank.

Anyone who takes their clothing off for money must be promiscuous

Wrong again. In fact you will find some of the most celibate and loyal lovers up on stage bearing it all every night. I’ve worked with more than a few who retained their virginity until marriage. Most guys figure if they provide enough free drinks and a couple of twenties, they are going to get some loving. Very unlikely.

Dancers will do anything for the right amount of money

Wrong. Let’s take a look at some simple math. A good dancer can average $750 dollars a night, cash, working at a good club. Let’s assume you work 4 nights a week. Let’s also assume that you take off two weeks a year. This means you are taking home $150 GRAND a year, before taxes and expenses. How much money would a customer have to make to take home $150,000? Over $225,000.

A lot of guys promise “I have enough money to take you away from all of this! Just be my girlfriend!” In order for Joe Customer to maintain your standard of living, he’s gonna need over $225,000 in disposable income just to maintain the status quo. On top of that, since you are no longer working 4 days a week, you now have 4 days extra days to kill. Days that you will likely occupy your time by SPENDING JOE CUSTOMER’S MONEY!! That means his $225,000 of disposable income needs to be AT LEAST $400,000 a year. Suppose Joe C’s not phased yet? He’s got $400,000 disposable income just waiting to be wasted to keep you, ‘the girl of his dreams,’ marginally happy?

If so, I have to ask, what in the world is he doing trying to pick up a dancer in the first place? He’d be better off opening his own club, making money off of it, and taking the pick of the girls who work there. If a guy really has this much money and promises to open his wallet to you for life, some very serious RED FLAGS should be going off in your head. Either he’s lying, or has a mental disorder.

All dancers are alcoholics and/or drug addicts

Yes, some of the girls you will meet in the club love to party. You will find many that don’t. At all costs, AVOID guys trying to impress girls with access to booze or drugs. Dancers have enough money to afford their own vices. For all you know they are undercover agents. Either way, stay away. Stick to your principles.

For the record, a small number of upscale clubs were raided recently. These clubs were top notch and had been in business for decades. Unfortunately, the management was not on top of the situation and a few bad apples ended up costing hundreds of people their jobs.

Basically agents went undercover as customers, and dropped a lot of cash over the course of a few nights. Once the girls felt they had some big fish on the hook, they opened up. The agents asked the girls if they knew where to get any party favors. The girls got on the phone to their dealers/boyfriends and provided the agents with illicit substances. This happened over the course of several nights. On the final night, the agents called the girls direct, said they’d like to come down, but only if they girls could get them what they wanted. The girls, seeing dollar signs, assured the agents that their needs would be met. Shortly thereafter, the doors to the club were kicked in by federal, state, and local law enforcement. Several arrests were made and to this day those clubs are out of business.

Needless to say, drugs aren’t going to lead you to where you want to go. But you’re an adult and will make your own decisions. Just keep the following in mind:

When you are thinking of bending the rules, or if something seems too good to be true, if alarms are going off in your head, always assume you are being tested.

Never break the law, endanger your dignity, or bend your principles, no matter how much money is involved.

If you hear of illicit activities going on in your home club, discreetly inform someone in management or security that you can trust. You don’t want to be fingered as a snitch, but you don’t want the club to be shut down. Finding a new home club, establishing relationships with staff and customers costs money and time. Use your head to diplomatically handle the situation.

Dancers are highly emotional and probably mentally unstable

Only if they think it will encourage their customers to part with cold, hard cash.

Dancers have STDs

Let’s put it this way: How successful do you think a dancer would be if she had warts, bumps, and open sores on her privates? Not very. Top notch entertainers take excellent care of all aspects of their health. Their income is directly linked to their sexual appeal. We laugh every time we hear someone spewing this idiotic nonsense.

Most Strip Club Myths are BS

Legend has it…

Most myths and stereotypes have some basis in fact. I certainly carried my share of judgments about the industry as a customer. What’s great about this industry is that it’s a pretty well-kept secret. Most people will roll their eyes and dismiss a girl just because she’s a stripper. In my opinion, dancers are intelligent, motivated, and dignified. It takes a lot of strength to get up there and do what they do, both mentally and physically

Most people assume that the big ol’ bouncer loves to fight and is dumb as dirt. People in the industry deal with this every day. We get a good laugh after work talking about all the people who believe they’re superior to us.

As a prospective dancer, you need to be informed about what to believe and what is just conjecture. By making this information free, I hope more girls realize how lucrative this business really is, and that they don’t have to sacrifice their dignity to earn a great living. Spread the word and help others take control of their lives.

Don’t Believe What You See on TV

TV shows are full of bullUnfortunately, many people seem to get their worldly education from media formats that, as a general rule, dramatize reality in order to increase their appeal to the public. For example, a show about a precinct of urban police officers, the lead charactersprobably spend the bulk of the episode battling bad guys with guns, chasing suspects in cars, and arguing with their boss, and having sex with hot coworkers. Ask the average police officer how realistically their job is portrayed your favorite cop drama. Mostly likely they’ll laugh, then tick off about 10 fallacies before asking you if you get their point.

Strippers and their workplaces are no different. According to the movies and television, strip clubs are owned primarily by the mafia and crooks. They are dark, seedy, and dirty. The customer base consists of drug dealers, perverts, and psychotics. A fight or gun battle breaks out every night, just to keep things fresh. Strippers spend their night in predictable ways. If they aren’t busy talking to law enforcement, providing valuable clues about Russian gun-runners, they are either planning an after-hours coke orgy, or maliciously sabotaging a coworkers blossoming relationship.

Unfortunately, most people pass judgment on the industry based on these ‘facts.’ You’ve probably heard a lot of negative things about strip clubs, and to a certain degree, these stereotypes have some basis in truth. Want a no hype appraisal of the strip club industry?

We’re going to take a look at the myths surrounding strippers, strip clubs, and the customers who frequent these clubs.

Do You Have What It Takes to Make Money Stripping?

Before you commit to dancing, it’s best to take a good look in the mirror and determine if you will be successful. Many people assume that if you’re very attractive then you will make tons of money stripping. This is patently false. Ultra-hot girls often rely on their looks and neglect other aspects of the job. The top earners are generally attractive, but personality, attitude, and many other factors come into play. Physical attributes certainly play a role in determining your income. But like most any profession, hard work and mental discipline are even more important. The most successful generally have innate talent (a God given gift at birth) coupled with dedication and hard work.

Looks

You do not have to be drop dead gorgeous to earn a great living stripping. Just as you don’t find all people attractive, some people will not find you attractive. If you get asked out on a regular basis, or hit on in bars often, you’ve got the look. Even if you don’t turn heads when you walk in a room, if your look is distinctive enough, you may be able to fill a niche. Just keep in mind, the greater the percentage of people who find you attractive, the easier time you’re going to have making money. I’ve met a number of attractive girls who confided, “I wish I was beautiful like the girls working here, I really want to dance but nobody would ever give me any money.” I’m sitting there thinking, “This chick is hot, why the hell does she think she can’t make money dancing. Allow me 2 hours to teach her the trade, and she’d be making more money than most girls on the roster.” Here’s a list of common reasons many girls think “they don’t have what it takes” to dance for a living:

Scars, stretch marks, or other blemishes

While flawless skin is ideal, everyone has some skin imperfections. Most people don’t know a big secret in a club’s arsenal. Imagine the difficulties locating, training, and retaining a roster of 60 plus women with perfect skin. Most attractive women have sex. This often results in pregnancy, which causes the abdomen to swell. The skin, unable to effectively accommodate this explosive growth begins to scar, or striate, causing unsightly stretch marks. These can be covered quite effectively by body makeup, but that’s not the secret. The secret lies in the design of professional clubs. By carefully selecting the color, intensity, type, and location of lighting fixtures around the club, every dancer’s skin exudes a healthy glow, free of unsightly scars, stretch marks, and cellulite. Keep reading and we’ll show you exactly what to look for when judging a club.

Try this at home!

If you don’t believe in the magic of lighting, you can perform a simple exercise at home to get a feel for how you will look under properly installed lighting. Grab a few candles, enough to give your bedroom enough light such that you could read a book (menu), but no more. Now stand in front of a full length mirror from a distance of about 3 feet. Notice that your skin appears silky and smooth? Magic right? If you like what you see, you have the potential to make big bucks. Even if a few areas still appear unsightly, these can be smoothed over with the correct application of body makeup.

My butt is too big!

Without fail, women gauge their ideal body to be much different than men. This is a well documented phenomena, especially in western cultures. Most men prefer women with at least some fat on them. Don’t let your negative body image prevent you from the lifestyle and freedom you deserve. We will discuss in detail what men find attractive in women in the sectionAttraction Basics. For now, just know that your ‘big butt’ may well be a ticket to ‘big bucks’.

I’m too old!

Your age is a number determined by your date of birth. It really is unimportant. If you have the looks and personality, you can make good money no matter what that number happens to be. Keep in mind, older gentleman frequent strip clubs and they often prefer to spend their money on women with similar backgrounds and interests. Imagine your father trying to hold a conversation with a sweet young thang who wants to talk about Facebook and the Korn concert she couldn’t attend due to school. There are a number of things you can do to improve your physical appeal. Some are obvious like diet and exercise. Most are more subtle and must be learned by experience. We’ll cover this more later.

Personality

Are you outgoing? Do you enjoy meeting new people? Are you open to other people’s life choices? Do you have a good sense of humor? Do you have a thick skin, or do you respond poorly to criticism? While most people can fake interest in others, over time people will figure it out. The easiest way to overcome this problem is to realize that everyone is different. If you listen closely, most people have at least one part of their life that is interesting. Or at least entertaining. At the very least, unbelievably pathetic to the point of comedy. No matter what their story, if you are adept at pulling details out of people and gaining their trust, this will translate into dollars. A sure way to turn a potential customer away is for them to realize that you are only interested in getting their money as quickly and effortlessly as possible.

Attitude and Determination

These two traits are intertwined with your personality. If you are easily discouraged, can’t commit to a plan, don’t have dreams and goals and relentlessly pursue them, then this industry is not for you. No matter how attractive you are, customers and coworkers will make negative comments. You need to be able to let these slide and focus on what is important. You aren’t going to make heaps of cash every night. Taking the view that getting a bad night out of your way put’s you closer to a good night can keep you going when times are tough. Stripper’s Rules for Survival

(and Prosperity)

We listed money and financial freedom as one of the upsides to this business. It is also one of the downsides. Money can be addictive, and if you get into this industry, you must be very careful to make sure you’re in control. A lot of young women begin dancing, and while they are making tons of money they become accustomed to a certain lifestyle. Very few plan ahead, and as their earning potential declines with age, they have no way out. We’ll show you how to avoid this trap in later chapters, but keep this in mind from day one: what are my long term goals, and what is my exit strategy?

Drugs are a guaranteed path to despair and poverty

Discipline prevents you from going down paths that lead to ruin. Debt, substance abuse, prostitution, broken homes usually result from lack of discipline and structure. You need to make some rules for how you conduct your business before you get into this game,

If you find yourself tempted, or worse, deviating from your rules, it is time to either get help immediately, or get out of the industry all together.

Rules for survival

  1. Three drinks maximum per shift. No excuses. No cheating.
  2. No drugs.
  3. Never date anyone you meet at work, including staff. The one in a million chance it works out isn’t worth the drama that results from all the failures.
  4. Never do anything illegal, no matter how much money is involved.
  5. Do not spend your savings. That money is for your future. If times are tough, work harder and smarter.
  6. Treat others as you wish to be treated. Turn the other cheek, be the bigger person, kill them with kindness.
  7. Never tolerate an abusive partner. Verbal abuse leads to physical abuse. Be strong and go your own way at the first sign of abusive behavior. No matter how much you love them, you will not change them.

Before You Begin a Stripping Career: Words of Warning

Goals Mark the Path to Success

  1. What’s your goal? (Aka why do you want to dance?)
  2. How disciplined are you? (If you make a plan, do you stick to it, or change the plan to fit your whims?)

If the answer to question 1 is, “I wanna make lots of money!” this person needs to learn a few key ideas before entering the industry.

Yes, you can make lots of money dancing, but “making lots of money” is not a goal. Next they’ll say, “Okay I want to be rich!” Still not a goal. “Ok, I wanna be a billionaire!”

Unfortunately, just as our educational system fails to teach financial literacy, it also fails to prepare our youth to create a structured life plan. A multi-millionaire, who has years of experience, hundreds of high powered contacts, and a track record of successful businesses and investments could conceivably become a billionaire.

For someone just out of high-school, with no experience, limited education, few high caliber contacts, and no assets, billionaire status is not even a dream. It is a fantasy. A fantasy that, for nearly every person on this planet, will never come to fruition.

Every personal growth book that’s worth reading will stress extensively the importance of setting goals. Goals help you achieve your dreams. Goals turn fantasies into dreams. They turn dreams into a plan of action. Goals allow you to break down big problems into smaller, manageable pieces. If you don’t learn how to set and accomplish goals effectively, you might as well buy lottery tickets.

You need to have an out. A light at the end of the tunnel. Go pick up any book on personal success and they all have one thing in common. Goals. How to set them, how to achieve them. Long-term and short term. A good exercise is to imagine your life without any financial limitations. How would you spend your time? Would you create and lead a charitable organization? Pursue an advanced degree in archeology? Think about it.

Many people fantasize about having so much money they’d never need work again. And they wouldn’t work. And they won’t ever have that kind of money either. The very wealthy find ways to make money doing things they enjoy. Yes, most held jobs they didn’t enjoy at first, but they leveraged this time into assets, knowledge, and experience that allowed them to proceed to the next phase of their life plan.

For the time being let’s set some simple goals.

  1. Complete the course“Stripping 101”within 48 hours
  2. Locate a potential club and book an audition within 7 days
  3. Gather necessary equipment and supplies within 3 days
  4. Read all articles in the“Advanced Topics”section before first shift.
  5. Make at least $100 during first shift.
  6. Take notes after shift about what you did right, what you did wrong, what you didn’t understand. Also list any pertinent facts about the club, customers, staff, etc that may come in handy in the future.
  7. Registerso that you can participate in theForums. Create your own topic and ask any unresolved questions from your 1st shifthere.
  8. Set up your phone to send/receive electronic payments within 14 days.(You’ll learn how later in Advanced Techniques)
  9. Presuming you liked your first club, book a second shift within 10 days.
  10. Earn at least $150 on your second shift.
  11. Read at least 3 entries fromBetty Says
  12. Download and install DreamCalcwithin 14 days.
  13. Enter your data into DreamCalcand play with various scenarios of spending, earnings, and career length. Complete by day 21

These are some simple goals that will get you through your first couple of weeks. Most of them simply require the self discipline to start and finish simple tasks. Once you’ve completed these steps, you’re on your way to a healthy career and a life full of fun and achievement. Goals are so very important that we can’t stress it enough. The process of creating good goals and completing them are often the only difference between successful people and those who look back on life with regret.

Don’t worry, we’ll come back to this later and show you everything you need to know about goal setting and personal success. Most important is to get you up and running, making money quickly. You can learn rest of material ‘on the job’.

Benefits of the Stripper Lifestyle

Before we get into the nuts and bolts of making tons of cash, let’s take a look at the industry:

Freedom

Stripping provides freedom unrivaled by other careersVery few jobs out there allow you the freedoms enjoyed by most entertainers. First of all, most clubs are very flexible about your schedule. Yes, most will require you to work a minimum number of hours per shift, but you get to determine what days you want to work, how many days per week, and whether you want to work nights or days. Once you’ve shown that you are professional and easy to work with, you will be given even greater latitude. You also get to chose WHERE you work. If you need to move, or just don’t like the vibe of a certain club, it is easy to find a new location and resume work almost immediately. Also, if you totally screw up you can go to a new club and start over with a clean slate. For example, if you notice a girl is mad at one of the staff, and you commiserate with her, agreeing that, yes he’s a real S.O.B. and a drunk to boot. Next day you find out that said drunk S.O.B. is her boyfriend AND the owner, they’ve kissed and made up, and now you look like an ass. Might be best to move on. Of course this never happens… Achem! (just don’t make a habit of it. Learn from your mistakes) You’ll also have the freedom to dress pretty much however you chose. No lame uniforms, or stuffy business apparel (although a naughty secretary outfit can be a fun change and turn heads!) You get to choose your boss. Love the club, but can’t stand a certain manager? Change your shifts, manangers can’t be there all day and night. One of the greatest draws to this industry is the financial freedom. Name one job where you can make a six figure income at age 18 (that are legal anyways). Even with a top college degree, this is nearly impossible.

Social Life

As an entertainer you will meet people from all walks of life. From celebrities to blue collar workers to free spirits drifting with the flow of life. You’ll always know where the best parties, as well as get free tickets to concerts, sporting events, even free trips to exotic destinations like Hawaii, Alaska, Guam, and Australia.

Reinvent Yourself

Were you shy in high school, and wished you could be more outgoing? This industry provides you the perfect opportunity to take on any persona you wish. Have you ever wished you could have a strong, sassy attitude? Go ahread, try it out! Ever wanted to dress outrageously,? Perhaps you look forward to opportunites to wear costumes. You can wear a nurse outfit one set, a cowgirl outfit the next, and it not only is OK, but it is encouraged. Ever wondered how you would look, and how people would react if you had long blonde hair? Try out a wig, and see what happens. You can literally be anyone you want to be, dress how ever you wish, and if you change 15 minutes later, nobody will bat an eye.

Did you grow up with a name or nickname you detest? You get to pick your own name, and can change it at any time. Just don’t change it too often. You want to build your brand, and if you are constantly changing your name, it affects your income and confuses not only customers, but staff (DJ, bouncers, waitstaff) as well.

Stripping Basics: A New Reality

The paradigm has changed. Our parent’s generation employed a simple formula for success. Used to be called the American Dream. The Dream involved going to college, getting a job at a reputable corporation, work there for 20 years, retire with a nice pension, a paid -off home, and healthy kids on their way to college. That Dream has turned into the American Nightmare.TImes are tough. You may be down, but you're never out.

Today, a college education is no guarantee for success. Today a Bachelor’s Degree won’t even guarantee gainful employment. Right now, in cities and towns from Portland to Pensacola, there are plenty of MBA graduates and PhD’s happily taking jobs waiting tables or driving truck, defaulting on their student loans, losing their houses to foreclosure. Marriages are fracturing, governing bodies from municipalities to the Fed are on the verge of insolvency.

There is a job out there that any reasonably determined and attractive woman can pursue that will result in a net worth of over one million dollars in less than a 10 years. That’s right, a MILLION DOLLARS. It is possible, with planning and determination, to achieve $1 million in five years, nearly $3 million in 10, and over $5.5 million in 15 years. This is not a get rich quick scheme. Nor is it illegal. The only education you need, well, you’re reading it right now.

The assignment, should you chose to accept it, is stripping. You will work 4 nights a week maximum. You’ll take two weeks off every year to vacation to anywhere in the world you choose. You will drive a nice car. You will own your own home. You will have health care and everything anyone could ever imagine. Before you jump off your couch and run to your local club to get on the road to riches, be warned. This industry sucks in thousands of innocent girls every year that have no plan or goals and spits them out the other side of a 15 year career with nothing. Nothing but insurmountable debt, a substance abuse problem, and no life skills. They likely will have multiple children, often from multiple fathers, none of which are a part of their child’s life. They have become accustomed to a high standard of living, but as we all know, father time always takes his toll. Nobody is beautiful forever. Unable to sustain their life in high society, and too proud to accept the truth, they turn to other, illegal, debasing ways to make a living.

But not you! You’re going to read these pages. Ingest the knowledge, and leverage it to make all your dreams come true! Right? The money is there for the taking. Millions of dollars. There for you to just reach out and take it. But you need to be armed. Knowledge and planning are your weapons. Without them, you’ll likely become another statistic, living the American Nightmare. With this knowledge and these skills you will have more money than you’d ever dreamed. Freedom and time to go and do whatever you chose.

You’re now ready to begin your training. All the information you’ll need to succeed is at your fingertips. Reach out and grab it!
