Strip Club Clientele Myths

Continuing the theme on Strip Club Industry Myths, let’s look at the people who visit these clubs.

Strip Club Customer Myths.. That are BS

The only people who frequent gentleman’s clubs are perverts, criminals, drug dealers, etc.

Again, any establishment serving alcohol will initially attract such persons. The difference again is that the scrutiny applied by local law enforcement will typically keep this to a minimum. Also, it is management’s best interest to keep the club drug and crime-free. Anything that jeopardizes the club’s ability to serve alcohol, or frightens off potential dancers will be dealt with. These clubs make money selling alcohol, and the girls attract customers. Preserving both the liquor license and the dancer roster are the management’s top priorities.

In the past, gentleman’s clubs used to be just that, clubs for gentlemen only. In today’s open social environment, you will find people from all walks of life enjoying the vibrant nightlife that can only be found at these types of clubs. Businessmen, teachers, doctors, and lawyers, of BOTH sexes, come to gentleman’s clubs for entertainment, fine food, and relaxing libations. In other words, normal people. Normal people pay the bills. When a club first opens up, it may take some time for word to spread that they don’t tolerate tough customers. It may take a few visits from the local police to solidify the club’s policy. But rest assured, if the manager and security staff are doing their jobs well, the club can be cleaned up in short order.

Only the affluent can afford to visit gentleman’s clubs

Most clubs, especially in today’s economy, have reasonably priced choices that can fit any budget. You’d be surprised at the deals you can find on excellent food and drink at most upscale clubs.

People who go to gentleman’s clubs are cheating on their partner

As we’re going to discuss later on, it is much easier to pick up a girl at a regular nightclub than at a gentleman’s club.

Gentleman’s Clubs are swarming with undercover agents

You’ve heard the rumors about undercover authorities from various agencies staking out strip clubs full time looking to make a bust. Not likely. If the club has been around for any length of time, the owners enjoy significant income running the business. Every owner we’ve met protects their ability to keep in the good graces of ALL authorities. Anyone in their establishment jeopardizing their permit to operate and sell alcohol will be fired, removed, or asked to leave.

The Truth

The majority of people who visit strip clubs are just regular people looking to have a good time. People just like you. Yes, strip clubs provide a form of entertainment with a sexual edge that can’t be found in just a regular bar or venue, but that’s no indictment on them as people.
