Stripper Myths that are Complete BS

Exotic dancers are dumb

As with any cross-section of a population, you will find some people that aren’t in the top 10% of their class. Yes, in this industry you will find some empty heads. You will also find some pretty bright individuals as well. We’ve worked with several college graduates, as well as graduate students working towards their doctorate. These women know that a lot of guys think they are stupid and exploit this myth. The very best will lead you right along, feigning ignorance, giggling all the way to the bank.

Anyone who takes their clothing off for money must be promiscuous

Wrong again. In fact you will find some of the most celibate and loyal lovers up on stage bearing it all every night. I’ve worked with more than a few who retained their virginity until marriage. Most guys figure if they provide enough free drinks and a couple of twenties, they are going to get some loving. Very unlikely.

Dancers will do anything for the right amount of money

Wrong. Let’s take a look at some simple math. A good dancer can average $750 dollars a night, cash, working at a good club. Let’s assume you work 4 nights a week. Let’s also assume that you take off two weeks a year. This means you are taking home $150 GRAND a year, before taxes and expenses. How much money would a customer have to make to take home $150,000? Over $225,000.

A lot of guys promise “I have enough money to take you away from all of this! Just be my girlfriend!” In order for Joe Customer to maintain your standard of living, he’s gonna need over $225,000 in disposable income just to maintain the status quo. On top of that, since you are no longer working 4 days a week, you now have 4 days extra days to kill. Days that you will likely occupy your time by SPENDING JOE CUSTOMER’S MONEY!! That means his $225,000 of disposable income needs to be AT LEAST $400,000 a year. Suppose Joe C’s not phased yet? He’s got $400,000 disposable income just waiting to be wasted to keep you, ‘the girl of his dreams,’ marginally happy?

If so, I have to ask, what in the world is he doing trying to pick up a dancer in the first place? He’d be better off opening his own club, making money off of it, and taking the pick of the girls who work there. If a guy really has this much money and promises to open his wallet to you for life, some very serious RED FLAGS should be going off in your head. Either he’s lying, or has a mental disorder.

All dancers are alcoholics and/or drug addicts

Yes, some of the girls you will meet in the club love to party. You will find many that don’t. At all costs, AVOID guys trying to impress girls with access to booze or drugs. Dancers have enough money to afford their own vices. For all you know they are undercover agents. Either way, stay away. Stick to your principles.

For the record, a small number of upscale clubs were raided recently. These clubs were top notch and had been in business for decades. Unfortunately, the management was not on top of the situation and a few bad apples ended up costing hundreds of people their jobs.

Basically agents went undercover as customers, and dropped a lot of cash over the course of a few nights. Once the girls felt they had some big fish on the hook, they opened up. The agents asked the girls if they knew where to get any party favors. The girls got on the phone to their dealers/boyfriends and provided the agents with illicit substances. This happened over the course of several nights. On the final night, the agents called the girls direct, said they’d like to come down, but only if they girls could get them what they wanted. The girls, seeing dollar signs, assured the agents that their needs would be met. Shortly thereafter, the doors to the club were kicked in by federal, state, and local law enforcement. Several arrests were made and to this day those clubs are out of business.

Needless to say, drugs aren’t going to lead you to where you want to go. But you’re an adult and will make your own decisions. Just keep the following in mind:

When you are thinking of bending the rules, or if something seems too good to be true, if alarms are going off in your head, always assume you are being tested.

Never break the law, endanger your dignity, or bend your principles, no matter how much money is involved.

If you hear of illicit activities going on in your home club, discreetly inform someone in management or security that you can trust. You don’t want to be fingered as a snitch, but you don’t want the club to be shut down. Finding a new home club, establishing relationships with staff and customers costs money and time. Use your head to diplomatically handle the situation.

Dancers are highly emotional and probably mentally unstable

Only if they think it will encourage their customers to part with cold, hard cash.

Dancers have STDs

Let’s put it this way: How successful do you think a dancer would be if she had warts, bumps, and open sores on her privates? Not very. Top notch entertainers take excellent care of all aspects of their health. Their income is directly linked to their sexual appeal. We laugh every time we hear someone spewing this idiotic nonsense.
